 This week I am making a swing through our Kansas LRF(Local Receive Facility) sites completing my quarterly RF checks to make sure that Local Channel Contributions to DIRECTV look good, that our systems are stable and that our landlords and vendors are all happy.  It's an exciting time to be in Kansas because the Jayhawks are currently ranked 16th and play tonight at 830pm.  March Madness is CRAZY here.  I am not much of a basketball fan, but I love sports in general and will be happy to root for the Local team tonight at the Hyatt Regency. Last week I attended the DIRECTVforBUSINESS group's All Hands Meeting in Los Angeles. One of the takeaways from that meeting is that I can do better.  I think I can improve on my current performance. It's a cliche to say "We can always do better".  Sure we can.  Many managers say that to try and edify their teams. LEADERS believe they can do better, and seriously try to raise the bar.  I am not a leader of men, but I do believe I can do better, and I plan to.  I have some ideas of ways I can increase my reach to DIRECTVforBUSINESS customers. I can't wait to implement those ideas. 

My Engineering team is working on new processes that help to streamline our work, magnify our talents and provides cost savings that allows our group to help generate positive cash flow back to the business.

This is a transformational year at DIRECTV. We all know that. Every team at our company is working to raise the bar.  I'm proud to be on this team.  I believe that I can make a difference.

This weekend I treated my children to "Authentic" Chinese food. When I opened my fortune cookie the message was on point, at exactly the right time.

  Today marks the one year anniversary of my first column on Blogspot. It's a special day for me because When I started this blog I had no idea it would take off the way it did, or that I would still be posting today. Unfortunately, this is also the last weekly blog post I will be submitting to Blogspot. Monday Motivation - November 4th

  Welcome to this week's Monday Motivation.  I know the end of the year is coming quick, and this is the time when we rush to get our work completed before the moratoriums start and we all start to disappear for the holidays.  Remember to focus on organization for both your personal and professional lives. It's easy to get overwhelmed and distracted this time of year, speaking from experience. Monday Motivation - December 9th

  Welcome to my last Monday Motivation, coming to you from the ASU campus in Jonesboro, AR.  I had a great two weeks off and a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I have thought a lot about this group and how far we have come this year. I am excited to hear about your successes this week in our last meeting together.  My plan for this week's meeting is to share in your successes and what you learned about developing your personal brand.  I have already received a few out of office messages as lots of our team is on PTO.  I understand completely.  It has been an honor to lead this Mentoring circle.
