2023 NFL Season - Week 5

What a whirlwind week for me! I finished out #NFLweekFour in Dayton, Ohio where I was pleased to watch my beloved #Seahawks wipe out the Giants on #MNFonDIRECTV (Sorry Giants Fans...).

Thursday I was at the Hyatt Regency in Indianapolis and helped the hotel host the #TNFonDIRECTV game between the Commanders and the Bears.  The IBO USAs fall conference is here this week so we had a packed house. Kudos to the Hyatt.  They do Football right here.  16 TVs in the house ant 10 of them had #9550 tuned to Amazon Prime and all of their customers now know that staying at a hotel with #DIRECTV is the best way to see the games that matter the most!

I'm headed to Arkansas next week, the journey continues...

Welcome to Spring! Showers, showers everywhere with tornados and some lightning to boot! So, what do you for DIRECTV anyway?

  Over the last seven years or so the most common question I get as I travel around this great country of ours is “What do you do for DIRECTV anyway?” For those interested, this week’s column is dedicated to my “Day Job”. Enjoy… Greetings from St. Louis! It's Sunday morning and my Battlehawks won a nail biter last night against the Arlington Renegades.  It was an amazing game and I was one of the 40,315 in attendance. Life is good.  Here is this weeks update. I decided to take a week to dedicate a column to my Field Engineering team. I am sure the optics might lead one to believe that I travel around the country staying in hotels, meeting with the hotel and bar staff and promoting DIRECTV.   Today marks the one year anniversary of my first column on Blogspot. It's a special day for me because When I started this blog I had no idea it would take off the way it did, or that I would still be posting today. Unfortunately, this is also the last weekly blog post I will be submitting to Blogspot. Before I explain why I am sunsetting the blog, let's go back and look at the evolution of how the blog came to be. HOW IT ALL STARTED I am a career traveler for DIRECTV . 48 weeks a year, 3-4 nights a week. I was traveling before the Covid-19 pandemic, I traveled through the pandemic, and in early 2022 as America was "Re-opening" I noticed that most of the hotel, restaurant and Bar staff that I had come to know pre-pandemic were no longer employed at my favorite establishments.
