2023 NFL Season - Week 4

It’s week four of the NFL season and I am in Nashville at the Hilton Brentwood Nashville Suites. We had a packed house tonight at the Bur-Bun restaurant! This was my 2nd #NFLonDIRECTV viewing party and this hotel knows how to do it right!

This hotel has been showing #TNFonDIRECTV on their public viewing televisions and Executive Lounge for years. Because we now offer TNF on Amazon Prime this property now has a leg up on the other hotels in the area, and it is paying off. Thursday is now one of the highest revenue generating weeknights for the bar/restaurant. 

This hotel has tons of repeat customers (Like me…) who book this hotel specifically because they know they will always get the games that are important to them while out of town! Can’t wait for week five at another great #DIRECTVFORBUSINESS hotel in another great American City!   #GameDayDIRECTV #TNFonDIRECTV #DIRECTVWATCHPARTY

Welcome to Spring! Showers, showers everywhere with tornados and some lightning to boot! So, what do you for DIRECTV anyway?

  Over the last seven years or so the most common question I get as I travel around this great country of ours is “What do you do for DIRECTV anyway?” For those interested, this week’s column is dedicated to my “Day Job”. Enjoy… Greetings from St. Louis! It's Sunday morning and my Battlehawks won a nail biter last night against the Arlington Renegades.  It was an amazing game and I was one of the 40,315 in attendance. Life is good.  Here is this weeks update. I decided to take a week to dedicate a column to my Field Engineering team. I am sure the optics might lead one to believe that I travel around the country staying in hotels, meeting with the hotel and bar staff and promoting DIRECTV.   Today marks the one year anniversary of my first column on Blogspot. It's a special day for me because When I started this blog I had no idea it would take off the way it did, or that I would still be posting today. Unfortunately, this is also the last weekly blog post I will be submitting to Blogspot. Before I explain why I am sunsetting the blog, let's go back and look at the evolution of how the blog came to be. HOW IT ALL STARTED I am a career traveler for DIRECTV . 48 weeks a year, 3-4 nights a week. I was traveling before the Covid-19 pandemic, I traveled through the pandemic, and in early 2022 as America was "Re-opening" I noticed that most of the hotel, restaurant and Bar staff that I had come to know pre-pandemic were no longer employed at my favorite establishments.
